The Backyard 15km: Jay Jantaraboon's Backyard Experience the simple life of Mae Chaem people in the morning Enjoy the refreshing green scenery of rice fields and agricultural areas, along with the stunning view of the Twin Mountains, Doi Inthanon, and Doi Pha Khao, with The Backyard trail, Jay Jantaraboon's backyard. This 15-kilometer distance is suitable for beginner trail runners who want to experience a different atmosphere. It is also ideal for former 100km and 100 miles finishers who want to return to the field. For competitive runners, this trail is designed to be run the entire distance. It offers a variety of terrain, including concrete, asphalt, dirt roads, and single-track trails, as well as loose rocks, tree roots, and bamboo forests to challenge your abilities. For casual runners, this trail is a great way to experience the morning life of the locals. You will pass through important landmarks of Mae Chaem, including Wat Pa Daed and Wat Yang Luang, two ancient temples in Mae Chaem District. Then running along the water into the green area of agricultural fields. Before you know it, you will be walking and enjoying the view until you reach the foot of Doi Mon Mak, where the view of the Twin Mountains, Doi Inthanon, and Doi Pha Khao awaits. At the end of the trail, you will run through "Tong Teng", a suspension bridge that is one of the symbols of Mae Chaem before crossing the finish line at Chumchontambonthapha School.
