The Skyline 30km Touching the Sky in Mae Chaem The Skyline 30km is a sightseeing trail designed for runners who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mae Chaem. With a gentle elevation gain of 1,231 meters and a generous 10-hour cut-off time, this trail is perfect for runners who want to take their time and savor the views. But if you are a competitive runner or a speed enthusiast aiming for speed, you will find that the 30-kilometer distance is enjoyable throughout the route. It offers a variety of surfaces and an atmosphere that will keep you from feeling bored. The first 10 kilometers of The Skyline are the same as The Backyard 15km trail. From the top of Doi Mon Mak (859 meters), runners will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Twin Mountains, Doi Inthanon, and Doi Pha Khao. On a clear day, you can even see Doi Mae Tho in the distance. If you are not in a hurry, turn around and look back for a moment while you are climbing Doi Mon Mak. You will see the simple beauty of the morning view of Mae Chaem District that you just ran through. But don't get too carried away with the view, because the downhill section of Doi Mon Mak is quite challenging. After passing the "Tong Teng" suspension bridge, the Skyline 30km trail diverges from The Backyard 15km trail. The route then follows the Mae Laek River through open forests and agricultural areas before ascending to the San Phra Bat ridge, a community forest where locals collect mushrooms. The trail then becomes a single-track trail that winds along the ridge, covered in loose rocks. The final section of the trail is a fun downhill on a dirt road, with a few gentle climbs to keep things interesting. The trail winds through agricultural areas before entering the town of Mae Chaem and finishing at the Chumchontambonthapha School. Here are some additional details about The Skyline 30km trail: Distance: 30.90 kilometers Elevation gain: 1,231 meters Start and finish: Chumchontambonthapha School Aid stations: 3 Cut-off time: 10 hours
